On 16 January 2020 the Union’s members visited the Center for Mother and Child to pass essential things on to its charges.

Right after New Year’s holidays Kherson Women Union active members brought new children’s clothes and warm one-piece winter suits, suits for newborns and many other items from our partners from the shop “Darts” (Olha Ivchenko).

Also, the small charges of the Center now have toys from Julia Holyk and bright pillows in the shape of animals from the unknown gift-givers that were passed through the partners from the Contact Zoo “Strana Yenotiya”.

Right now there are 8 Mothers with children at the Center. And they welcome guests with great pleasure each time. As real-life communication is a serious motivation for everyone!

It is interesting to know that it has taken from several hours up to a week to fulfill all the necessities of the Center for Mother and Child for the year of its support. And each time there were around 30 positions in the necessity list!

Active Union’s members, friends and the organization’s partners, common Kherson folks and social networkers quickly reacted each time: either to bring gathered gifts from the Union’s office or urgent purchase of winter clothes. We managed to do everything!

Have you ever felt an unexpected joy on a spring day morning when noticing first flowers blossoming? The same feeling was experienced by women during photo session, as fairy beauticians did everything possible for these Mothers to feel like Queens.

Also in 2019 Kherson Women Union arranged a legal aid for these women during which all effective points were answered.

This year got us all acquainted and permitted to be closer. And the matter is not only in financial assistance. But in the fact that we have managed to show that these women are not alone.
