4 years in a row Kherson Women Union has been activating all concerned Kherson folks, partners of the Union and friends to get ready school kits for pupils that are in need. Thus, we have managed to present confidence from the very beginning of schooling year to the family-type orphanage “Radist” (Joy), the Rehabilitation Center of Children with Invalidity in Kakhovka and KMCO “Center Sophia”.

This year the start was done by the post, asking to help with preparation of school kits for the boarders of KMCO “Center Sophia” on the personal page in Facebook of the journalist Ievhenia Virlich.

“Parents of these children spend the lion’s share of the family budget on treatment of their children. That is why it is really difficult to gather school bags for them. And the children are waiting for Knowledge Day so much!” stated Ms. Ievhenia.

It was impossible to stay indifferent after reading this post. Especially, taking into consideration the fact that last year Kherson Women Union gathered schoolbags to these children, and they are not strangers to us.

For the record-breaking 10 days we managed to close 70% of the announced positions (from the erasers, pencils and brushes to contour maps, atlases and felt boards). The Union members, concerned Kherson folks, active public representatives, small business and big retail stock chains did a great job.

As soon as we piled together everything, it was passed to the children immediately.

“We would like to thank everyone involved. Please follow the photo report as soon as we hand in everything to the children”, shared the Executive Director of KMCO “Center Sophia” Olha Tsilynko.

“We would like to thank everyone for the support and for attention! I would like to wish you good health and success!” – stated Iryna Pioro.

Thus, Natalia Skalozubova, Hanna Zhyvtsova, Snizhanna Martynenko, Inessa Sambros, Oksana Ferman, Iulia Miner, Liudmyla Koliaka, Natalia Stoliarova, Olena Tverdokhlib, Hanna Lisova, Oksana Absova, Liuba Ivachahenko, Iulia Zviagintseva, Olena Burdykina, Aliona Chelak and our constant helping partner – stationery shop PE “Korneiev”! We would like to thank all of you for one more successful deed of good. Children’s schoolbags are packed!
