A story of a happy childhood is created by adults – Mother and Father. Mainly they fill in the child’s life with care, love and warmth by opening their own hearts. But the sad statistics says that there are more than 106,000 children in our country, which are growing up in the boarding institutions without parental warmth.

On September 28th Kherson Women Union and the Office of the Children’s Commissioner of Oblast State Administration, with the support of a committed partner of the Union, Shopping and Entertainment Complex “Fabrika” decided not to stay aside a socially significant Adoption Day and organized a holiday of good deeds and merrymaking for children from special and boarding institutions of Kherson and Kherson Oblast. There were boarders of specialized schools of Kherson and the Center of Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children of the village Stepanivka, foster families among the invited guests.

The event that was held in the 3rd line of Shopping and Entertainment Complex “Fabrika” was opened by the Deputy Head of the Office of the Children’s Commissioner of Oblast State Administration Olga Baryshnikova:

“Every child should be happy, be grown up in a family, feel care and warmth. Today, on the eve of the Adoption Day, we sincerely wish you, children, coziness, love and may all your wishes come true”, noted O. Baryshnikova.

Head of Kherson Women Union Iryna Nikolayeva addressed the educators and foster parents:

“We thank you for parental love and care, sincerity and concern. You have opened your hearts by letting these children in, and thus you have presented faith in tomorrow and happy future to every child. May your families be close-knit, and every child be happy!” wished I. Nikoayeva.

The holiday passed in one breath: merry contests, relay races, contests that were added by good jokes and sallies of wit from animators kept the audience in a constant drive.

Children took part in physical activity games, danced with pleasure, sang songs and had fun with animators. Delicious surprises and lots of balloons were waiting for them in the end of the holiday.

Let’s hope that together we managed to warm these small, kind and open hearts!
